High temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy analysis of dead-burned magnesia aggregates

High temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy is used to observe dead-burned magnesia aggregates at steel-making temperatures. The impurities in the aggregate were observed to form a liquid phase between 1100 and 1350°C.
